Bio

Background

Prior to graduating in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from the University of the Creative Arts, Farnham, Kevin gained an internship with a small studio in Chelsea, London. Here he learned the industry standards and additional skills necessary for a professional career, while being exposed to a wide range of interior disciplines in the exhibition, residential, and retail and leisure sectors.

After graduating, Kevin secured a job with MET Studios, where he spent time working in both their Hong Kong and London offices. He joined the Imagination Group in 2008 as a member of the Automotive Team, principally designing for the Aston Martin Global Retail Programme, as well as other luxury automotive brands, before joining the Retail & Leisure Team in 2011. His focus was designing for global high-end luxury retail brands, and large-scale developments and hotels. In early 2013, he then moved again within the company to join the Shell account, working as part of a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary creative team delivering a variety of projects that included global events, exhibitions and educational experiences. By mid-2014, Kevin left the Shell Team to join the newly re-branded Virgile+Partners, focusing once more on delivering high-end luxury projects for a number of globally renowned brands.

In 2015, Kevin secured his first private client, freelancing in his spare time to deliver a high-end, bespoke interior design scheme. By the end of 2016, he had completed the first interior design project as AiyaStudio (his own company name) — a renovated, completely bespoke 34-square metre residential apartment in the heart of Hong Kong’s desirable Wanchai district. In early 2017, after a nine-year association with the Imagination Group, he formally left Virgile+Partners to take on new challenges within the industry.

Additional clients not showcased include: Harrods, El Corte Ingles, Shinsegae, Marc Restaurants, Jaguar, Museum of London, Carrat London, Manchester United Experience Macau, Holiday Inn Manila, Nitesh Properties, The Royal Automobile Club & Dokkae Planetarium Mecca.
